Introduction to B.A. B.Ed. Program


B.A.B.Ed. is a four year integrated programme which aims at integrating general studies in arts and professional studies in education. It provides a wide knowledge base for becoming an elementary and secondary school teacher. This four year program is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and Affiliated to CCSU, Meerut.
It is planned to equip student-teachers with the basic knowledge and skills of humanities and education. Such knowledge and skills would help teachers to teach in the 21st century classroom of upper primary and secondary school students and address issues concerning their development as global citizens.

Program Objectives

  1. To integrate general studies comprising humanities and professional studies to provide a strong foundation to future teachers.
  2. To maintain a balance between theoretical and practical components of the program, thus representing a wide knowledge base of a school teacher.
  3. To train teachers for upper primary and secondary stages of school education.

Program Outcomes

  1. Learning experiences that are based on learners existing proficiency, interest, experiences.
  2. Uses knowledge of effective verbal non-verbal and media communication techniques.
  3. Understanding the central concept tool of inquiry and structures of the discipline and can create learning experiences.
  4. The people teacher act as an agent of modularization and social change.
  5. Understand and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate.
  6. Develop self identity as a teacher thru micro-teaching , simulation teaching and school based teaching experience.
  7. Promotes capability for inculcating national values and goals as mentioned in the constitution of India.
  8. Promotes social change cohesion, international understanding and protection of human right and right of the child.
  9. The pupil teacher becomes to use ITC in the teaching learning process.
  10. The pupil teacher learns to organize different curriculum and co-circular activities for all round development of the personality.
